The client were keen on a modern, handless design. They wanted warm tones and a bar area. The clients used the space to socialise so wanted an area to watch TV along with a bar. To get their desired look they also wanted the laundry area concealed.
The designer created a feature tall bank area to accommodate the electrical equipment. The cooling & laundry machines were stacked. This lead to creating a very functional and large island which incorporates a Quooker tap, hob and perching area. This in turn allowed plenty of space for a good sized dining table. The bar section of the design was best placed in this area as it's less a kitchen feature and more an entertaining feature. The designer worked very close with the client not only in creating the initial extension and window concept but having a heavy influence on all the interior aspects of the design too.
