Mr and Mrs Sharp

The Brief:

Their home set in Glasgow’s southern suburbs, this busy family wanted to create a kitchen that would provide them with a comfortable, functional space in which to entertain and convene.  They hoped their kitchen could have a wow factor, together with functionality and yet, take into account views of surrounding garden and beyond ideally if possible, incorporating some of the property’s original features.

The Conclusion:

Whilst there is no doubt senior designer Joanna has succeeded in creating the wow factor, her choice of matt graphite with walnut accent brings fluidity between kitchen and room architecture.   Soft tones, clean lines and centrally placed circular booth gathers this family together in the heart of the kitchen whilst offering them a vista of the garden and Campsie hills beyond.

Joanna’s design surpasses itself in achieving the perfect balance between form and function
