The developer planned to convert this magnificent classical property from a large townhouse to three separate apartments. Wit stunning large airy rooms with ceilings in excess of four metres it was vital to retain existing elements of this listed building. Whilst our client coming to us upon recommendation, gallantly offered us a rare free a rein on design, each of the three apartments should be atypical, if possible contemporary with a classical twist, we should take into account the architectural period using colours and materials befitting of their surroundings.
A designer's dream, creating fresh designs breathing new life into a building steeped in architectural character with a free rein! The choice of colour palette for principal of design Shaun was obvious, classical notes colour painted on wood, teamed together with undertones of natural timber tones. However, in his design with the emphasis of soft curves, Shaun has succeeded in harmonising contemporary and classical seamlessly together with functional storage, ample worktop in a kitchen that includes state of the art appliances these kitchens have an air of extravagance which is likened to their property’s appeal.
