August has seen many opportunities for Kitchens By J S Geddes help the local community. We have donated to various local charities and attended amazing events across Ayrshire.
Monday 12th August was Ayrshire Hospice’s Annual Charity Golf Day. Jim Geddes attended the event which was a great success and raised £10,500 for this great local cause. Ayrshire Hospice provides specialist palliative care to those who are affected by life limiting illnesses in Ayrshire. The charity aims to reach all people affected by these illnesses and offer their personalized, specialist care.
This month Kitchens by J S Geddes donated £1,500 to The Kris Boyd Charity. This is an amazing cause which aims to improve the support available for those suffering with their mental health. They offer workshops and understanding to those who need it. Jim Geddes was delighted to be able to help this cause and went along to meet Kris Boyd to give him the cheque.
We ran a competition to give away a fridge full of chocolate in aid of International Lazy Day! The lucky winner was Val Russell. We were delighted to learn that Val chose to share her prize with local charity, Centre Stage.
Also this month, our good friend and colleague of over 35 years visited us! Gunter Albert was the managing director of our German furniture supplier, Kuhlmann. We were delighted to catch up with him and it was great to hear how much he is enjoying his retirement.
It has been a very busy month here at Kitchens by J S Geddes and we already have plenty planned for September. Keep up to date on our Facebook page and Instagram.
